Planning approval has recently been granted for a two storey new build replacement dwelling in an open plot in Stockport, Manchester. A concrete well is to be set into the sloping landscape for the new house to sit in. A series of masonry walls and piers stand out of the ground with cross laminated timber floors and roofs enclosing the new spaces.
